Watch this awesome video of Punchbowl Astronauts music, Uncle Sam. This catchy track was released in February 2019. These guys are actually new to the industry, yet to establish their name and sound. In this video though, they rock it with the sound of professionalism. The lyrics are carefully placed and well-thought, nothing of the mediocrity that most rookies put out. Let’s not skip on the frontman’s vocals. He has that soft, high, and very clear musical tone (which we just found out was called a ‘silvery voice’). The energy that is seen and felt in this video would be reflective of their passion for music and performing. This song is just perfect to start their career as upcoming great musicians. Amazing job with this video!

Punchbowl Astronauts Music

“...a vibrant American alt-rock trio with an eclectic sound that veers from head-banging guitar heaviness to emotive, melodic acoustics and piano. Punchbowl Astronauts thrive on the contrast and have used it to create music that is uniquely theirs. Based out of New Haven, Connecticut, the band is comprised of guitarist/pianist/lead singer Aaron Montiel, bassist/backup vocalist Chris Sacco, and drummer Alex Hayowyk”. Uncle Sam Lyrics

Room was painted pink and green,
Broken sink and damaged spleen,
Wishing they were burdened on to me.
Spending nights drinking with me,
A lonely island lost at sea,
Everything I wish you’d ever be.

I will be your Uncle Sam,
Tumbling down this wonderland.
If you’re never gonna be the only one for me,
I’ve got to get you off my mind,
And if you take it all away somebody’s gonna say,
That killing you would cross the line…never crossed my mind.

Punchbowl Astronauts Music

Darkest thoughts are in my head,
And everything you’ve ever said,
JFK, my car, and dreams are dead.
Thought you were my closest friend,
Powered on massive pitchblende,
Split end, suspend, tight end, don’t transcend.

And I will be your Uncle Sam,
Tumbling down this wonderland.
If you’re never gonna be the only one for me,
I’ve got to get you off my mind,
And if you take it all away somebody’s gonna say,
That killing you would cross the line…

And I will be your Uncle Sam,
Tumbling down this wonderland.
If you’re never gonna be the only one for me,
I’ve got to get you off my mind,
And if you take it all away somebody’s gonna say,
That killing you would cross the line…
If we’re only gonna be the only one for me,
I’ve got to get you off my mind,
And if you take it all away somebody’s gonna say,
That killing you would cross the line…never crossed my mind.

In Surround Sound

Watch this cool Punchbowl Astronauts music video for In Surround Sound. The band expounds on this song being a song of social anxiety. A sad song but with an upbeat rhythm. They say it’s leaning more to dreamy rock kind of music. These guys really do great with poetic, and if I may say a little cryptic, lyrics. The listeners can interpret the song however they want it. There is no way of letting his voice slip with its clear tone, articulate singing, and just the right amount of vibrato. And of course, we can never get over his impressive falsetto. “Impressions really go a long way” and guys, you just did a great first impression with your music. Hats off!
